Public Comments

  1. too long (i didn't read it)
  2. thats way to long an di'm way to lazy to read it .
  3. The article is too long to read, but I agree with the first paragraph. President Ronald Reagan was the BEST President of our generation and we should follow his ways / formula without exception.
  4. they may make these promises, but they will never do it.
  5. First of all this is a long @$$ letter. But on the real issue, I think that the idea that only republicans can serve the country well is preposterous. Because whether republican, democratic, or whatever, the issues go unresolved anyway. And that's the raw fact whether we as a people want to except is or not.
  6. Newt is a very, very smart man. He knows whats happening. He was a Great Speaker of the House. The speech or letter you can take it to the bank, He knows his stuff. If he was to run for President in 2008 I would definitely vote for him Why do people act like they Love this country but can't take 5 minutes to read something that is very important for their knowledge of the country?? I don't get it.
  7. I am coughing and saying B.S. OK, first of all I want to say that unless you are in the education system you should refrain from talking about no child left behind...it was designed to fail! I say lets scratch all governmental officials and start with some people that are not connected to big business. All I can say is that I trust nobody in our government and think that 9-11 was know about before it ever happened by our nations leaders.
  8. It sounds good. The problem is how much will they actually try to do? Promises are easy, performance is not.
  9. I read your article and was not surprised at the author. My problem with this, besides the fact that I am a lifelong democrat, is with the honor of the author. During the Lewinsky scandal of the Clinton administration Mr Gingrich was the most outspoken opponent of Clintons morals. When the dust cleared and Gingrich himself had been having an affair I lost any small amount of trust I had for the man. After 5 years of having so many rights violations performed by the current administration, so many untruths exposed, and the betrayal of our own people r/t Katrina I just hope and pray daily that the next president is somebody with a good heart, has a soul, has good judgement, can someday get us out of Iraq but not before we know that the Iraqi people are stable, and was not born to a wealthy family so that he has some sense of reality related to the poor and the lower middle class. If I saw this person existed political party would not matter.
  10. It started off interesting, and then I got bored. Too long
  11. I think it stinks.
  12. The points are valid and substantial and, regardless of which Party takes Office over the next *several* elections, these are points which must be immediately implemented and kept at the forefront of every elected official's mind and the springboard upon which his or her actions should be based or America, as we have known it, is surely doomed. We need another Reagan and people of his ideals, morals and commitment to his Country and his constituents and there has to be some out there. I have to agree with the other responder that if Gingrich were to run for Office, I would have to vote for him. For those whose only contribution to this thread was to mention that the post was too long to read: remember your attitude of today when the switch from apathy to dependence is complete and we have lost the last of our rights. You don't have 5 or 10 minutes to read an article? Our patriot forebears had years to fight and die, as did those who protected our Country during World Wars I and II, but YOU don't have less than a quarter of an hour to read something? I believe this site was meant to be a forum; a place to ask for and receive information; the exchange of opinions. It is with these things that Americans can unite ... but not if you can't spare enough time out of your so very important, self-involved day to read something so short and yet so meaningful. I guess you should be thankful that you don't have to spend half of your day in a line to get bread; but, you keep up your self-involvement and you just might get the opportunity. Of course, as you stand there you should have plenty of time to reflect upon the "should'ves" in your life. Remember, it is "We, the People ..." not "Me, the Person ..." yet we've almost become a whole Nation of "Me, the Person." Would you want to be in a foxhole with yourself as someone to depend upon for your life? I certainly wouldn't. A heartfelt "thank you" to the lady who posted Mr. Gingrich's letter.
